Global Leadership Summit 2017

Global Leadership Summit 2017

On Thursday and Friday, the church that I lead will be a first-time host site for The Global Leadership Summit.  This annual event is one that I’ve written about before and is my most impactful leadership development of the year.  I can’t wait to hear from each of the speakers and grow my own leadership over the 2 days.

Here’s a brief description from their website:

The Global Leadership Summit is a two-day event that is telecast LIVE from Willow’s campus near Chicago every August to more than 550 locations in North America. Throughout the fall, Summit events take place in an additional 675+ cities, 125 countries—translated into 59 languages.

As I did last year, I will be putting my notes from each speaker here on my blog.  I hope that you will find this helpful whether you attend the Summit or not.  And, I would welcome the opportunity to engage with you in some conversation around what each of the speakers said.

So, stay tuned for that!  Here’s some of the speakers we’ll be hearing from:

  • Bill Hybels, founder of The Global Leadership Summit, senior pastor at Willow Creek Community Church
  • Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer, Facebook
  • Marcus Lemonis, star of CNBC’s The Profit, CEO of Camping World and Good Sam
  • Gary Haugen, founder, CEO of International Justice Mission
  • Andy Stanley, leadership author, communicator, pastor
  • Marcus Buckingham, best-selling author of Now, Discover Your Strengths, founder of The Marcus Buckingham Foundation

I can’t wait to share my notes with you!  And, in case you missed any of my articles over on The Global Leadership Summit’s blog, here are some links to check out:
