The One Question I Get At Lunch That Ruins My Day

Ok, maybe that’s too strong a title for this post.  But there is this one question that I seem to get over and over when I’m out at lunch with my wife that messes with my head a little bit.  It may not always (or ever) ruin my day, exactly – but it does make me pause and think about why someone would ask me such a question. “Is this going to be on one check or two?” What?!?!?  Do husbands and wives normally pay separately?!?!? The Stories We Tell Ourselves

One of my favorite Bible verses is found at 2 Corinthians 10.  Paul is writing to a church in ancient times and he tells them, among other things, to "take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ."  Here we see him addressing one of the biggest battles that we all must face - the battle of the mind.
